Block Craft Beer + Kitchen is officially open in Sacramento’s Pocket neighborhood, and KCRA 3 was there to cover the grand debut. The local news station featured the new brewhouse and craft kitchen in a segment highlighting what beer lovers and families in the area can expect from the newest addition to Rush River Drive.

A New Gathering Spot for Sacramento’s Pocket Neighborhood
Located at 7485 Rush River Drive, Suite 650, Block Craft Beer + Kitchen fills the space formerly occupied by Device Brewing Co. Owners Jason Jokerst and Tim Giordano have transformed the location into a community-minded New American restaurant and craft beer destination.
The concept goes beyond great food and drink. Block was built to be a place where the neighborhood comes together — whether it’s families looking for a welcoming spot with video games for the kids, friends meeting for craft beer flights after work, or the community gathering for events on Friday nights.
What to Expect
- Elevated Food Menu — Handhelds, salads, kids menu, and seasonal specials crafted with care
- 16 Rotating Craft Taps — Featuring local Sacramento breweries like Urban Roots, Revision, and Tioga-Sequoia alongside the house Block beer
- Family-Friendly Atmosphere — Video games for kids, a welcoming vibe for all ages
- Huge Outdoor Patio — Perfect for casual hangouts, celebrations, and private events

Built for Community
Jokerst emphasized that cultivating a strong team culture is central to the Block experience. “An exceptional atmosphere requires staff who feel supported, valued, and empowered,” he said. That philosophy extends to every guest who walks through the door — Block was designed to be your neighborhood’s living room.
The name says it all: Block distractions. Block in time with family, friends, and community. Come find your Block.
