Block Culture
What we stand for. What we believe. Who we are.
Our Mission
At Block, we are a modern day hub for community, connection, and collaboration. Historically, the world’s greatest innovations and ideas were birthed in the shared spaces of taverns and coffeehouses. We believe that remote trends can’t replace the raw human need for proximity. We will always bet on people getting together, and we are dedicated to creating the premium neighborhood experience, yet a relaxed neighborhood space where those connections happen. Magic happens when people get together.
What We Believe
- Honor & Humility We operate with a deep sense honoring our team, our customers, and our community. We approach our work with humility, understanding that we are all part of a larger network. Every single one of us is mindful of how we contribute to the collective energy of the room. We block out the daily distractions to block in time for the things that truly matter.
- Moments MatterWe create space for genuine human connection. We focus on the power of the simple, allowing intuition to guide how we host. Every touchpoint is an opportunity to create “conversation pieces” moments and events that people talk about long after they leave.
- Your HubAt Block, we are constantly investing in our location and our community. We believe this is YOUR place. We want it to be comfortable, fun, elevated, and a great atmosphere. That is why we are consistently adding to the space and adding events.
- Come Work With Us
- We want to empower our culture. We want you to grow with us. We are committed to leading our staff, asking you about your personal goals, and figuring out how we can get you there. We expect our team to be resourceful and entrepreneurial. To us, every customer interaction is an opportunity to drive value, and every dollar saved is a “productive dollar” that we reinvest back into the growth of our business and our people.
